Keynan Middleton was probably pretty stoked to be back in action and back on the mound. He threw an inning for the Arizona Angels, 2 for The 66ers and .2 for the Salt Lake Bees before he was diagnosed with an elbow problem.
#Angels Keynan Middleton had a setback. Angels announce he was diagnosed with mild ulnar neuritis in his right elbow. MRI confirmed that his reconstructed UCL is intact. He has been pulled off his rehab assignment.

The good news is that his UCL is fine. The bad news, is this could prevent his return this year.
Michael Fulmer missed the last month of season a few years ago with the same condition. Tyson Ross went on the IL with the same issue on May 12th and is currently on the 60 day IL. You can read more about it here, but I’ll warn you it’s not all warm and fuzzy. In some cases it can take months to return to the mound.
Here’s to a speedy recovery Major Key!!
