Angels 5 Rangers 2
The Angels offense meandered along on a cool night in Anaheim until the seventh inning tonight, when a Shohei Ohtani single combined with Mike Minor getting squeezed set the stage for Kole Calhoun with the bases loaded. A double later and a pinch-hit Brian Goodwin single later, the game went from a one-run deficit to a three-run lead.
The team took that and never looked back, capitalizing on a strong 10-strikeout start from Andrew Heaney and a blip from the typically strong Mike Minor.
Mike Trout destroyed a baseball.
It’s good to see that some things never change.
Holy smokes, Mike Trout banged this ball. That was 114.0 mph off the bat. pic.twitter.com/VfAAaKMBqT
