Angels 3 Yankees 2

There’s nothing like a good old fashioned team victory to instill some confidence in a flailing team, and that’s exactly what the Angels did at Yankee Stadium tonight.

The story of the game, though, has to belong to Luke Bard, who pitched a dominant three innings pitched with 5 strikeouts to keep the Angels in the game.

Such a performance set the stage for the top of the 6th inning, where Michael Hermosillo scored on a throwing error by Yankees pitcher Adam Ottavino to take the 3-2 lead, a score which held.

Hansel Robles picked up yet another solid save, with two out of three outs recorded coming via the punchout.

Light that baby up!
