Well, looks like the Angels could be announcing their next General Manager soon. According to the Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, the Angels have narrowed their search down to a final five candidates.
The Angels are down to five finalists for their GM opening and could decide by the end of the week, sources tell The Athletic. Four of the finalists are Cubs senior VP Jason McLeod, DBacks assistant GMs Jared Porter and Amiel Sawdaye and Mariners assistant GM Justin Hollander.

Per the tweet, the candidates are Cubs senior VP Jason McLeod, Diamondbacks assistant GMs Jared Porter and Amiel Sawdaye, and Mariners assistant GM Justin Hollander. Per Rosenthal, the identity of the fifth Angels finalist is not known, but he also is an assistant GM type.
Rosenthal added in his tweet that McLeod worked with Joe Maddon in Chicago. Porter also was with the Cubs during Maddon’s tenure. Hollander spent nine years in Angels’ front office before joining Mariners.
