Today’s Mike Trout home run comes from five years ago, at Camden Yards in Baltimore. The Angels were battling the Orioles on May 16, 2015, the middle game of a weekend series.
The vast majority of this game was a pitchers’ duel between Matt Shoemaker and Ubaldo Jimenez, a 1-0 game into the seventh inning before the Angels offense came alive. They plated two runs in the seventh to take the lead, then Trout added a solo home run in the eighth inning against reliever Darren O’Day, a shot down the right field line.

Against O’Day, Trout in his career is 4-for-8 with two home runs and a hit by pitch, a tidy .500/.556/1.200 batting line.
Trout, who singled earlier in the game as well, singled home a run in the ninth, capping a three-run rally and a 6-1 win for the Angels.
This was Trout’s 10th home run of the season, and 108th of his career.
