Mike Trout home run daily: A little insurance

Our Mike Trout home run today was relatively recent, hit last June against the Mariners, which seems to happen quite often.

Saturday, June 1, 2019 was the third game of a four-game weekend series for the Angels in Seattle, with Andrew Heaney facing Tommy Milone.

Trout singled and walked in his first four times up, and the Angels took the lead on a Kole Calhoun home run in the eighth. Trout provided a little insurance in the ninth inning off Chasen Bradford, crushed to the second deck down the left field line to lead off the ninth.

Trout in his career is 3-for-6 (.500) with four RBI against Bradford, and all three hits were for extra bases. This was the 14th home run of the season for Trout, and his 254th career homer.

Seattle was bulldozed by Trout in the series, eight hits and five walks in four games, hitting .571/.684/1.071 with seven RBI in the four-game set. This was his second game in a row with a home run.

Trout hit eight home runs in 19 games against the Mariners in 2019, walloping Seattle to the tune of .344/.500/.844 with 22 RBI.`
