Hello again from the Mike Trout home run daily, where we relive every single home run of Mike Trout’s career, one game at a time. Our random number generator today brings us to 2015, when Trout continued to torment the Yankees.
On July 1, 2015, the Angels were finishing off a midweek series at home against the Yankees.
Nathan Eovaldi and Chasen Shreve stymied the Angels through seven innings, and Trout was 0-for-2 with a walk. But down 3-0 in the eighth inning, Trout hit a solo shot against Justin Wilson.

It was Trout’s only hit in four career at-bats against Wilson. This was Trout’s 21st home run of the season, and 119th of his career.
Trout homered twice in this series against the Yankees, just as he did a month earlier when the teams met in New York. But even with Trout’s prowess and his .857 slugging percentage and four home runs, his most against the Yankees in any season, New York won four of six games against the Angels that season.
