Fox Sports unveiled their 2020 Major League Baseball television schedule on Tuesday, which includes five Angels games on either Fox or FS1.
In a normal season, FS1 games are usually on Saturdays, but in this truncated season there are many more weekday telecasts on the network, including three Angels games. The Angels’ first nationally televised game is Saturday, August 1 at home, hosting the Astros on big Fox (4 p.m. PT).
Fox games are exclusive broadcasts, meaning there will be no local telecast of the game. The games on FS1 aren’t exclusive, but they also aren’t subject to blackout, meaning there is a choice of which broadcast to watch.
Conversely, the only announced ESPN telecast of an Angels game is opening night, Friday, July 24 in Oakland against the Athletics (7 p.m.), part of an ESPN tripleheader. But that broadcast is subject to local blackout, meaning only the local Fox Sports West broadcast would be available in Angels territory.
