We are tantalizingly close to having Angels baseball to watch on television. Real, live exhibition games are on tap, beginning Monday night when the Angels head to San Diego.

The Angels play three exhibition games in three cities in three days along the Interstate 5 corridor. The first two are on the road, before the Angels host the Padres at home in Wednesday night’s exhibition finale.

Here’s the exhibition schedule:

  • Monday: Angels at Padres (6:10 p.m. PT)
  • Tuesday: Angels at Dodgers (6:40 p.m.)
  • Wednesday: Padres at Angels (6:40 p.m.)

The preseason Freeway Series is limited to just one game this year, though the Angels and Dodgers do end their regular season against each other for the first time ever, in September.

Fox Sports West will televise all three exhibition games, in addition to broadcasting 57 of 60 regular season games. Victor Rojas and Mark Gubicza will call home games from their usual booth at Angel Stadium this season, and will call road games from a Fox Sports West production truck just outside Angel Stadium.

The Angels are off Thursday before heading to Oakland to start the season on Friday, July 24, the opener of a four-game wraparound weekend series against the A’s, and the fourth straight season the Angels have started in Oakland.
