The trade deadline is tomorrow, and there are a lot of questions surrounding the Angels. Coming into the season, many expected the Angels to be buyers at the trade deadline, as they were likely going to be competing for a playoff spot. Though they still have a chance at reaching the postseason, the chances aren’t looking too good.
Entering Sunday, the Angels are the second worst team in the American League and are 6.5 games out of the eighth seed. Again, that’s doable, but it’ll be really tough to make up that kind of ground.
So, with that being said, should the Angels be complete sellers ahead of Monday’s trade deadline. If they are, should they trade Dylan Bundy, who has been by far their best pitcher in 2020?
Bundy was acquired from the Orioles in the offseason, and has been a potential Cy Young candidate so far in 2020. He’s 4-2 with an ERA of 2.47. The most important part is the fact he’s under control through the end of next year. So, not only is a team getting him for their playoff push this year, they also will have him in 2021.
Earlier today, Jon Morosi reported that Bundy has drawn trade interest from the Twins, White Sox, and Braves. With the starting pitching market being very dry at the deadline, there’s a good chance Bundy is the best name available.
So, what do you think? Should the Angels trade him should the right deal come around? Or should they hold onto him and make this playoff push?
What should the Angels do?
