Major League Baseball unveiled the 2021 spring training schedule on Wednesday, with the Angels starting Cactus League play on Saturday, Feb. 27 visiting the Giants in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The Angels home spring opener is Feb. 28 against the White Sox at Tempe Diablo Stadium.

The Arizona portion of Angels spring training includes 29 games in 28 days, including four split-squad days and three off days. Fifteen of the Halos’ 29 games are at home in Tempe.

Spring camp breaks in Arizona on March 26. The Angels and Dodgers will play a Freeway Series once both teams are back in California, though those details haven’t been released just yet. Considering the Dodgers play in Arizona until March 27, it stands to reason the Freeway Series wouldn’t start until Sunday, March 28.

The Angels open their 2021 regular season on Thursday, April 1 against the White Sox, the first time since 2016 the Angels begin their season at home.
