It’s a lineup chock full of regulars for the Angels, with Dylan Bundy making his Cactus League debut on the mound.
We will also get to see both recently-acquired Iglesiases, with shortstop Jose batting ninth and closer Raisel set to make his Angels debut.
Iglesias had a 3.57 ERA and 18 saves against Joe Maddon’s Cubs from 2015-19, with 61 strikeouts in 53 innings.
“We might have gotten him once, maybe twice in all those years. But a lot of those times he came in for multiple innings, too,” Maddon said on Wednesday. “Righties and lefties, that elevated-velocity nasty slider, and he’s coming up with a changeup, too.
“Honestly I was surprised we were able to get them.”
Wednesday’s game will last six innings. Other Angels slated to pitch besides Bundy and Iglesias are Mike Mayers, Jake Faria, and Kyle Keller.
Jimmy Herget starts for the Rangers.
