The Angels just continue to win, as their 7-1 victory over the Blue Jays on Friday put them at 6-2 on the young season.
The offense was led by Shohei Ohtani, who finished the game with four runs driven in. He stepped up to the plate in the second with the bases loaded. On a 1-2 pitch, Ohtani doubled to center, bringing in all three runs to give the Halos a 4-0 lead.
His next at bat came in the fifth inning, when he led off with a solo home run, his third homer of the season. Ohtani continues to impress at the plate through the young season, as he’s hitting .300 with an OPS of above 1.000.

Jared Walsh followed in Ohtani’s footsteps a few batters later, hitting a two-run homer to give LA a 7-0 lead.
On the mound, Andrew Heaney had one of the best starts of his career. He threw six scoreless innings for the Angels. Heaney struck out nine and allowed only three hits. All night, the Blue Jays offense simply had no answer for him.
Alex Claudio and Chris Rodriguez followed in relief, combining to allow one run on three hits in three innings.
