It’s been a rough season for Anthony Rendon, who was placed on the Injured List for the second time of the season on Wednesday. On Monday, Rendon fouled one directly off his kneecap. And yes, I too felt the immediate pain while watching it.
Anthony Rendon fouled a ball off his left leg and was in serious pain. He left the game shortly after.

Rendon to the IL wasn’t the only roster move from the Angels on Wednesday. In fact, they were quite busy.
Roster moves
•Reinstated right-handed pitcher Mike Mayers from injured list
•Recalled outfielder Juan Lagares and outfielder Taylor Ward from Salt Lake
•Optioned right-handed pitcher James Hoyt to Salt Lake (AAA)
•Designated right-handed pitcher Ben Rowen for assignment
