The #6 Post in a running BTF thread:
The White Sox played the Royals/Tigers/Twins ~57 times this year, locked up with the N.L. West in interleague, and have a whopping 99 wins to show for it. Now they've run into two teams decimated by injuries and an umpire who apparently laid down some big money on them in March.
Truly, this is a team for the ages.
The White Sox are a goodish team, buoyed by incredible luck, that deserves credit for executing at the right time, crippled as their opponents may be. Next season we'll see if they are anything but a very lucky aberration.
