Angels' bench coach Joe Maddon has been hired as the Manager of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
Okay, it is November 14; by June 14, let us revisit this and see if the brains in the dugout have been substantially lowered. If we know by May that it was a bad move, we are looking at a loooong season.
Probably no chance he will be taking Mickey Hatcher with him. Maddon spent 31 years in the Angels organization, but his hearty endorsement of Seve Finley this past offseason really tarnished his legacy.
