Angels minor league All Star Game results

How did our minor league prospects fare in the games yesterday?

Jose Rojas (3B)

Southern League All-Star Game
When: June 20
Where: Blue Wahoos Stadium, Pensacola, Fla.

Wade Wass (C, 25)
Forrestt Allday (OF, 26)
Greyson Long (RHP, 23)

Result: All Star Game was rained out. Won’t be made up. Better luck next year kids!

Notables: The rain won this time

California League All-Star Game
When: June 20
Where: Rawhide Ballpark, Visalia, Calif.

Cal South (3) Cal North (5)

Jaime Barria (RHP, 20)
Result: Didn’t pitch. I don’t know for sure, but I don’t think he even went to Cali for the game now that he’s pitching in AA.

Jose Rodriguez (RHP, 21)
Result: Rodriguez blew a save, giving up 2 runs in the 5th inning. He gave up 3 hits and didn’t strike out a batter. The runs scored on a string of two 2-out singles followed by a 2-run double.

Jose Rojas (3B, 24)
Result: Rojas went 1 for 2 with a single.

Notables: Braden Bishop (Mariners #13 prospect) went 4 for 4 for the North team. He was a homerun shy of the cycle, scored 3 times, and stole 2 bases.

Midwest League All-Star Game
When: June 20
Where: Dow Diamond, Midland, Mich.

Mid West (5) Mid East (2)

Erik Manoah (RHP, 21)
Result: Didn’t pitch. Manoah is a starter and had pitched just a few days earlier.

Roberto Baldoquin SS
Result: Went 0 for 2 with a strikeout.

Notables: Monte Harrison (Brewers #22 prospect) launched two homeruns in this game and drove in 3 runs for the West team.
