The Halos Heaven Big A Takeover is almost upon us, here are the details you need to know

Alright, guys. By now, you’ve already decided whether or not you’ll be able to make it to the Halos Heaven meetup this Saturday at the Big A. You also probably got your tickets all squared away with Blast21Dave, as well, and some of you have even got your hotel rooms and other accommodations set up and ready to rock n roll.

All that’s left is to show up, party hard, worship at the altar of Vlad Guerrero, root the Halos, and cause a big ol’ ruckus up in Angels Stadium. That’s where this little reminder post comes into play. Just in case some of you just haven’t been paying attention, or if you are the type that needs to be reminded about things as often as possible, then I’m here to save the day.

Here are the deets, dudes.

Ok, so the whole shindig goes down on this Saturday, August 26th 2017. First up, we’ve got some pregaming scheduled at Golden Road Brewery. It is located at 2210 E. Orangewood Avenue, Anaheim CA 92806. It’s basically across the street from the Orangewood parking lot entrance, in one of those commercial buildings.

I will be getting there around 3:30pm, or 4:00pm at the latest. I know some other people will probably be getting warmed up at Golden Road around 3pm or 3:30pm, so sometime between 3 and 4 would be a safe bet when it comes to making sure you don’t get there and then have nobody to talk to.

Come find us at Golden Road if you want to partake in some fancy brewskis, or eat from one of the yummy food trucks that they always have. There is plenty fun to be had at Golden Road, and while I don’t drink any more, I hear the beer is pretty delicious.

Oh, and check this out. I have been bros with the manager, Tim, for years and I used that friendship to call in a favor for my Halos Heaven peeps. This favor will come in the form of a 20% discount on your tab! Pretty dope, huh? As long as you’re in the Halos Heaven group, you’ll get the discount (I’ll have special name tags to let the bartender know who is in our group and who is not). So there ya go! This day is already off to a good start with that 20% discount on fancy beer, bros.

Next up will be to head over to the Big A. We’re there for a reason, remember, and that’s to see Vlad Guerrero get inducted into the the Angels Hall of Fame. The ceremony supposedly starts at 6:00pm, and the place is sold out that night, so you should probably begin to make your way to the stadium no later than 5:30.

Once at the stadium and settled in, the rest is easy. We just have to sit, watch and enjoy. There are so many familiar faces going, and a lot of new faces, as well. We’ll get to hang out and get into some trouble, probably, and most likely we’ll see the Halos win, too. They CAN’T lose on Halos Heaven Big A Takeover night, no way. Nuh uh.

Now, if you have tickets and don’t want to do Golden Road, no problem. We’ll see you when we see you, but I hope as many people come to the pregame spot as possible. That’ll give us all a good chance to socialize and introduce ourselves, or reintroduce ourselves, before we take our seats at the stadium and such socializing becomes more difficult. Still, it’s up to you.
