Angels Week 17 Rankings - Position Players

The good, the bad, and the meh - We got runs!

MLB: Seattle Mariners at Los Angeles Angels Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports

I’ll cover the entire 40 man roster and will split it between position players and pitchers (generally 20 or so guys on each list). Each week the list will change based on the past week’s performance - but also taking into account their performance year to date.

These rankings were compiled with the help of MLB stats, FanGraphs, misc. data, personal opinion, scribblings on Cam Bedrosian’s Five Guys wrappers, and some fairy dust I found hidden in Matt Shoemaker’s beard.

Summary

Some may call this week 18 or whatever, but I didn’t do rankings for the 3 games during All Star week so we’ll pick up where we left off which is now week 17. We had some great performances on the offensive side including newcomer Francisco Arcia, rookie David Fletcher, and of course Kole Calhoun, Ian Kinsler, and Mike Trout. The Angels scored 48 runs last week, perhaps their most all season and second only to the Orioles who decimated the Rays over the weekend.
