Angels Week 24 Rankings - Position Players

I’ll cover the entire 40 man roster and will split it between position players and pitchers (generally 20 or so guys on each list). Each week the list will change based on the past week’s performance - but also taking into account their performance year to date.

These rankings were compiled with the help of MLB stats, FanGraphs, misc. data, personal opinion, scribblings on Cam Bedrosian’s Five Guys wrappers, and some fairy dust I found hidden in Matt Shoemaker’s beard.

Summary

Last week the Angels offense scored a measly 22 runs over 7 games. The team as a whole also had 11 home runs last week. Putting those two numbers together is not a good formula for success as you’d hope to score a lot more runs with 11 bombs - but not this team. The offense also only hit .214 with Fletcher, Briceno, Calhoun, Ward, Cowart, Hudson, and EYJ combining to go 9 for 91 - a .099 average. Their overall batting average was 26th in all of baseball last week.
