Everyone is releasing their lists of top prospects to start off 2019 - including Halos Heaven (ours is coming soon!). Baseball America has only 2 Angels prospects on their top 100 list and Jo Adell sits at #6 there.
However, Baseball Prospectus came out with their rankings today and they have 5 Angels prospects on their top 101 list, including Jo Adell at #2 - right behind Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
In 2017, the Angels had only Jahmai Jones (#78) on the BP top 100 list and in 2018 there were only 2 Angels players on the list with Jahmai Jones moving up to #64 and Jo Adell debuting at #38. Also for reference, the top 3 guys (Ronald Acuna, Victor Robles, Gleyber Torres) on the 2018 list have all made their presence known at the big league level in a huge way. Jo Adell at #2 is very meaningful indeed.
Here are the Angels prospects that made the list (and age they will be during the 2019 season):
#2 Jo Adell, OF, 20
2018 = A, A+, AA
.290/.355/.543, 3 assists, 15 SB
#56 Griffin Canning, RHP, 23
2018 = A+, AA, AAA
3.65 ERA, 1.262 WHIP, 113.1 IP, 125K
#68 Jahmai Jones, 2B, 22
2018 = A+, AA, AFL
.239/.337/.380, 24 SB (A+, AA)
.321/.400/.500 (AFL)
#94 Brandon Marsh, OF, 21

#99 Jordyn Adams, OF, 19
2018 = Rookie Ball

The future is in good hands. It’s going to be exciting seeing these guys come up and we may get that chance for 3 of them at some point in 2019.
