Prior to the 2019 season, Brad Ausmus and Doug White were both hired onto the Angels coaching staff.
Ausmus was fired yesterday, now it is Doug White’s turn.
Pitching coach Doug White has been fired by the Los Angeles Angels, a source tells ESPN. The moves comes a day after they fired manager Brad Ausmus.

Both subpar talent and subpar results were achieved on the mound in 2019, as the Angels struggled to a league-worst 3.3 fWAR from their starting rotation. The Halos’ entire pitching corps recorded abysmal marks in ERA (5.12), FIP (5.04), and HR/9 (1.67). It was not a good season on the pitching side, though one should note that signings Matt Harvey, Trevor Cahill, and Cody Allen were shaky from the start.
