The Angels still need to find a way to acquire more pitching before the season starts. However, it seems that Corey Kluber will not be a part of the Angels rotation in 2020.
#Angels out on Kluber, source tells The Athletic.

Kluber is currently an engima because he missed a huge chunk of 2019 due to injury. However, his track record speaks for itself. Kluber has won two AL Cy Young awards (2014, 2017) and was an extremely dominant arm as recently as 2018. It appears the Angels did not want to meet the price the Indians were asking.
Targets in the free agent market include Madison Bumgarner, Hyun-jin Ryu, and others. There are many different pitchers available for trade, and Billy Eppler may surprise us yet with a trade that no one saw coming.
