Save The Date: HH Dinner With Victor Rojas 9/23

MLB: Oakland Athletics at Los Angeles Angels Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

Victor Rojas is slated to be the featured guest at Halos Heaven’s first, hopefully not last, charity dinner. The date is slated for Monday, September 23rd and the venue is Newport Rib Company. We have the entire back room reserved, which will hold up to 75 people.

Victor and I have both seen families we love deal with the realities of a child with cystic fibrosis. We are both passionate about fighting that disease and this looks to be a great way to do a little good while having a little fun.

Here’s how it will all go down:

Once the date gets closer, I will link my personal fundraising page for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to the front page of Halos Heaven. You will be able to purchase tickets to the dinner through that link. Cost will be low, probably $20 per person with a group of four option at $60 or so. All of that money will go directly to the charity and you will receive a receipt for your charitable donation.

Show up at 6 PM, introduce yourself, and have a good time. I will provide soft drinks and a few trays of appetizers, Vic will mingle.

Eat, drink, and be merry. The owner of Newport Rib Co. is a great guy who is also committed to charity work. He’s going to donate a generous portion of each dinner tab to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. So go ahead and get that larger rack or ribs; it’s for the kids!

After dinner, we can have a question and answer segment with Victor. It is a school night, so I imagine we’ll wrap up fairly early, but there’s nothing set in stone.

I’m going to try to get some auction items and there is a shot we have more than one Angels connected guest there. If you can’t make the event and simply want to donate, that is welcomed and appreciated.

One caveat here is the health of Victor’s wife Kim. She’s doing pretty well right now but, if she has a doctor’s appointment scheduled for that day, we will push the dinner back. For that reason alone, I’m holding off on selling tickets until closer to the event.

Victor plans on being there the 23rd, I have the room reserved, and this has been planned for about six months. So, mark your calendars and please try to make it. We’d love to see you.
