GAME 4

(L) Patrick Sandoval (5.79) v. (L) Mike Leake (2.94 ERA)
Wednesday, Aug 21st @ 4:05PM

Summary:

In Patrick Sandoval we trust to try and lead the Angels to a split in this series. Sandoval has made 3 starts - one good, one not so great, and one where he perhaps got pulled a bit early with only 74 pitches in the 5th inning. He’s got a tough battle with Mike Minor on the opposing bump.

You want a split you say? All we have to do is beat Mike Minor you say? The same guy who has a 2.94 ERA, 7.2bWAR and a 1.179 WHIP? Easy Peasy! Let’s not forget that Minor is the guy who threw a compete game shutout against the Angels on April 16th and a 1 run 6 inning game on May 25th. He did, however, get knocked out after 4.1 innings and 3 runs the last time he faced the Angels. In the month of August, Minor has allowed only 3 runs over 22 innings and has struck out 23.
