Sometimes we should look big-picture.

Rangers (64-69) @ Angels (64-70)

Look! We’re so close to one another! This is the last time the Angels play the Rangers this year, and it will determine who takes third-place in the division going into September! Big things are at stake!

GAME 2

(L) Patrick Sandoval (6.75) v. (R) Ariel Jurado (with opener) (5.48 ERA)
Wednesday, Aug 28 @ 7:07PM

Summary:

Patrick Sandoval has shown good stuff in his short stint in the majors. This will be his fifth MLB appearance, and he has largely impressed. His last outing was also against the Rangers, when he got knocked around and only lasted 3.1 innings. With a strong Andrew Heaney performance on Tuesday and an off-day Thursday, expect Sandoval to have another short leash Wednesday night. But hey...we still have Mike Trout on this team!

The opener for Ariel Jurado will be Emmanuel Clase. The Angels saw him last week in Texas, when he pitched two perfect innings. After that, Jurado will pitch. The Angels have seen Jurado well in the past, and he doesn’t possess amazing stuff. He has a 5.64 ERA against the Angels in four appearances. As it stands, the Angels allegedly have a 56% chance of winning this game.
