Angels drop sixth straight in Suarez’s stinker of a start

God couldn’t even expedite the loss today.

Angels 4 Reds 8

In a dragged out game due to rain, the Angels lost their sixth consecutive game to the Cincinnati Reds tonight, as the Reds proceeded to victor in both games of the two-game set.

Justin Upton had a welcome dinger in the first inning, a three-run shot to straightaway center field off this fastball up in the zone. It’s a welcome sight to see, and just Upton’s sixth home run of the season.

Jose Suarez, unfortunately, did Jose Suarez things, and continues to struggle with the long ball in the major leagues. He surrendered three home runs in his start, giving up a whopping ten hits, one walk, and six runs (all earned) across five innings: truly a pooper of a start.

Mike Trout was three true outcomes guy tonight, hitting a dinger with a walk and two strikeouts.

Seems good.

Albert Pujols did a thing, apparently.

There was indeed a rain delay tonight.

It’s been raining in Anaheim for years.
