You got the sense it wasn’t going to be pretty with Jose Suarez taking the mound against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park.
Justin Verlander won his 20th game and it was all Houston. The plan was to piggyback Jose Rodriguez and Suarez and make it as far as we could. They each couldn’t get more than six outs. Miguel del Pozo got zero. Justin Anderson? One. Houston hit five home runs, three from Springer.

Jared Walsh and Michael Hermosillo tripled back-to-back, which was pretty cool:
Prior to Jared Walsh and Michael Hermosillo doing it today, the last time the #Angels hit back-to-back triples was May 14, 2004 at Baltimore when David Eckstein and Chone Figgins did so in the first two at-bats of the game.
