As of today, Brad Ausmus is no longer the manager of the Los Angeles Angels. The rumors of his position being on the hot seat were not for naught.

The Angels finished the season 72-90 in Ausmus’s first season, their worst record since 1999.
Ausmus as a manager is 386-422, a winning percentage of .478. The majority of those games came with the Detroit Tigers.
The Angels will be on the lookout for a new manager. Perhaps their 12 pm presser will reveal some details on that front. Stay tuned for more coverage.
Update: Billy Eppler’s statement reads as follows:
“I want to thank Brad for his hard work and dedication to this organization over the last two seasons as both a special assistant and field manager. He navigated this franchise through one of its most difficult seasons with class and professionalism.
