Summary:
Last night the Angels won despite facing the White Sox’s ace. Of course it was Giolito’s fault the White Sox lost, but that’s just how baseball goes. Andrew Heaney had been on about a 6 game roll until giving up 4 runs in 5 innings against Boston. Not a terrible start though. One of Heaney’s best starts of the year came against the White Sox in Anaheim on August 15th. He was bit by two home runs but threw 7 innings of 4 hit ball with only 3 total runs allowed.
Dylan Covey has tossed 11.2 career innings against the Angels and has given up 14 hits and 10 runs. He hasn’t faced them yet in 2019. Covey hasn’t started a game since July 28th. Over this last 7 appearances he has a 12.60 ERA across 15 innings.
