White Sox will try to Cease the Angels momentum in the series finale

MLB: Los Angeles Angels at Chicago White Sox Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

Angels (67-76) @ White Sox (62-80)

The Angels haven’t swept a team in almost 2 months. Today they have a shot at doing that to the White Sox. No word as of this writing if Mike Trout will be back in the lineup.

GAME 3

(R) Jaime Barria (6.27 ERA) v. (R) Dylan Cease (6.75 ERA)

Sunday, September 7th @ 11:10 AM PST

Summary:

Jaime Barria will be making his first start against the White Sox in 2019. He faced them once last year with pretty mixed results which is pretty much how his entire 2019 season has been. He will take his 6+ ERA and square off against fellow 6+ ERA dude Dylan Cease.

Cease is in the midst of a pretty lackluster rookie season. He’s served up 14 home runs and 66 hits over 58.2 innings. Back on August 18th, the Angels got to him for 5 runs on 7 hits over 5 innings. Matt Thaiss and Kole Calhoun both went deep off Cease in that game.
