The Angels made a number of roster moves ahead of their game in Minnesota on Thursday, with the most notable being the club getting outfielder Justin Upton back from the injured list.
Upton missed nearly a month after being placed on the IL with a lower back strain. Prior to his injury, Upton was hitting .247 with an OPS of .816 to go along with 14 home runs and 32 runs driven in. With another outfielder being on the club, the Angels sent Taylor Ward to Triple-A.
The outfield looks a little different than when Upton last played, as Adam Eaton and Brandon Marsh are some other outfielders.
In another move, pitchers Reid Detmers and Chris Rodriguez were promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake.
