The other move the Angels made was parting ways with left-handed pitcher, Tony Watson. According to Jeff Fletcher, the Angels will be receiving left-handed pitcher Sam Selman, right-handed pitcher Ivan Armstrong and right-handed pitcher Jose Marte from the Giants.

Watson has appeared in 36 games with the Angels in 2021. He’s posted a 4.64 ERA, 4.10 FIP and 1.18 WHIP. In 33 innings he has 25 strikeouts with 14 walks. The 36-year-old will be a free-agent at the end of the season.
Armstrong, 21, has appeared in 20 games this season in Low-A. He has a 1.88 ERA and 0.99 WHIP. In 38 innings he has 43 strikeouts.
Marte, 25, has appeared in 24 games in Double-A. He’s posted a 2.79 ERA with a 1.34 WHIP and has 50 strikeouts in 29 innings.
Selman, 30, has appeared in 41 career big-league games. During that stretch he’s posted an ERA of 4.06 with a 1.12 WHIP and 41 strikeouts in 37 2⁄3 innings.
