Like Mike Trout, Jo Adell is not just a good baseball player. No word on how into the weather Adell is, but he definitely is very into helping out the community. Over the weekend, Adell held his 2nd annual Turkey Drive. The hashtag “CommunityFirst” says it all. Adell graduated from Ballard High School in Louisville and was committed to playing at the University of Louisville before signing with the Angels.
The Jo Adell Turkey Drive was a HUGE success! It means so much to see the Louisville community come together as one! Big thanks to the @LMPD for partnering with me to turn this into an interactive event and @Newburg_JCPS for opening your doors to make this happen! #CommunityFirst pic.twitter.com/rgBZxKpvCf

Adell went around town with Louisville PD, searching for people to surprise with Thanksgiving dinners. They provided gift baskets to more than 250 people that included all you need for dinner - including the turkey.

If that doesn’t just warm your heart, I’m not sure what will. Jo Adell - a great dude even when he’s not playing baseball. In case you need a reminder what kind of player Adell will be, I’ll leave you another feel good moment - Adell doing a ridiculous box jump.
Here's @joadell25 doing the same. I could do video bc I wanted to post the pic of us but it definitely happened... pic.twitter.com/6MYM3Xwuf7
