Mike Scioscia was in a good mood this morning, clearly amused more than annoyed by the "poppycock" report:

What are you expecting from (spot starter) Deck McGuire today?
"We're looking for him to do what Corey Kluber did last night."

9 shutout innings?
"Maybe 10."
“The reports of my death were greatly exaggerated,” Mike Scioscia basically said this morning as a good deal of the fanbase died a little inside.
As reported last night by Ken Rosenthal, Scioscia was “expected” to step down after the season’s end, but we now have conflicting evidence from the primary source, himself. Now, this could be a facade, it could be truth, but the only thing we know for sure is this:
Whether the big cheese steps down or not, his contract does end after this year. He may not have to resign in order for 2019 to be sans Scioscia. So please, commence with your managerial debates.
