Some shocking news came from The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal today (paywall).

In his article summarizing the current state of the MLB, he states that the Los Angeles Angels have considered offering Mike Trout a ten-year extension worth $350 million.

In recent weeks, the Los Angeles Angels at least considered offering Mike Trout a 10-year, $350 million extension, though it is unclear whether they followed through with an actual proposal, according to sources with knowledge of the club’s thinking.

This is shocking news, considering Bryce Harper “only” received $330 million over 13 years.

Angel fans probably aren’t going to be concerned about the length or AAV of the contract; the only wish is to see Trout in an Angel uniform for life.

The only question is if he’s worth more than 10/$350 million.
