The Angels finish up the Anaheim portion of their two-game series on Tuesday afternoon against the Giants, with Anthony Rendon looking to finish off one of the best homestands in franchise history.

Rendon bats cleanup at third base for the Angels, like he has in each of the first seven games of the homestand.
He has exactly one extra-base hit in each of the last seven games, the second-longest extra-base hit streak in Angels history. Darin Erstad had nine straight games in 1998, and Tim Salmon had eight straight games with an extra-base hit in 2000. Among current Angels, Albert Pujols also had a seven-game extra-base hit streak in 2012, as did Justin Upton in 2018. Neither are in the lineup on Tuesday against Giants right-hander Trevor Cahill.
Rendon during his streak has five home runs and two doubles. Both doubles were of the ground-rule variety, meaning he has hit a ball over the fence in seven straight games.
During the homestand, Rendon is 11-for-24 (.458/.567/1.167) with eight RBI and eight runs scored.
Rendon has also drive in a run in each of those seven games, but he’s got a long way to go to get to the Angels record — 12 straight games with an RBI, by Garret Anderson in 2007.
On the season, Rendon now leads the Angels in fWAR (1.3) and his 172 wRC+ is just a tick behind Mike Trout (173 wRC+).
