Brian Goodwin wore cleats in tribute to Kobe Bryant and Nipsey Hussle last week, and now the Angels outfielder is auctioning off the shoes for charity.
The cleats were worn by Goodwin on Wednesday, Aug. 12 against the A’s, with one yellow shoe for Bryant and a blue one for Nipsey Hussle.

Goodwin autographed the cleats, which are up for auction through Aug. 28, with net proceeds benefitting the Angels Foundation and Play Equity Fund. He also pledged a donation to the latter group at the end of the season.
“I want to help youth who are vulnerable, help create greater access to sports programs and support ways young people can learn about standing up for social justice initiatives in their communities,” Goodwin said in a press release. “The mission of the Play Equity Fund will help me achieve these goals, and to take an active role in helping communities of need across Southern California.”
