It was another rough outing for Shohei Ohtani on Sunday afternoon, as he lasted only 1 2⁄3 innings in the Angels’ extra innings loss to the Astros. After failing to record an out in his first start, Ohtani was able to record five today, but it was still a rough outing. He walked five batters and allowed two runs, exiting after making 50 pitches.
As if that wasn’t good news, the Angels received more bad news following the game in regards to Ohtani.
The Angels have sent Shohei Ohtani for an MRI. He expressed some discomfort after pitching. They don't have MRI results yet.

That’s certainly not what you want to hear, as Ohtani has already dealt with severe injuries during his young career. Hopefully the MRI results aren’t too serious.
On the season, Ohtani has pitched 1 2⁄3 innings, allowing seven runs with eight walks. Not an ideal start to the 2020 season for the 26-year-old.
