It’s been a productive season for La Stella, who was an All-Star for the first time of his career in 2019. Through 28 games this season, he’s hitting .273/.371/.475/.845 with four home runs and 14 RBI.
He’s spent 15 games at second base this year with another 10 at first base. In 2019, he spent 46 games at second and played 30 games at third base.
In the deal, LA acquires 24-year-old Franklin Barreto from Oakland. He’s spent most of his time in his career playing shortstop and second base. He’s 0-for-10 on the season, and is hitting .180 in his career.
