Justin Upton returns to the lineup after missing the last few games. He exited the game on Tuesday after being hit by two pitches on his left wrist.

“He felt good yesterday,” manager Joe Maddon said about Upton. “He was swinging the bat. He was very up beat about it. I’d like to get him back out there. Hopefully he doesn’t lose that groove he was in. As of last night it was all good.”

For the Angels, they will desperately need Upton and his hot bat to continue if they have any chance of making a playoff push. During his prior nine games, Upton was arguably the hottest hitter on the team. He was hitting .429/.543/.750/1.293 with two homers and nine runs driven in.

With 15 games remaining, the Angels are four games out of the final playoff spot.
